I was invited to the premiere yesterday; what a fantastic evening.
Hugely surprised by this film.
The film remains engaging for its entire running time and gets better and better towards the end.
James Watkins delivers strong work & finally a DC film that managed to keep my attention.
Some scenes were also difficult to keep watching the screen, which I also expect from a horror film.
And then all praise to Tom Rhys Harries, what an acting performance!!!
Perfect movie for this Halloween season + I'm definitely going to watch this again in the cinema, ScreenX

Really enjoyed this movie, a pleasant surprise
The trailer didn't do much for me. I also thought horror was a bit of a bold choice by DC, but it's actually their best choice in years
For both DC fans and horror fans. So it is ideal to go to the cinema during this period.

The film falls short here and there, such as being called a freak in a Scary Movie tone. And the film sags a bit at one point, but otherwise, this is a good body horror film in which the makers undoubtedly watched the movie Darkman. Unless the makers of Darkman watched Clayface, since Clayface has been around since 1940. And at times, the film naturally reminded me a bit of The Substance.
It is basically just an enjoyable origin movie with a revenge plot featuring good acting. The effects are neatly done with a good mix of CGI and practical effects. And the film isn't unnecessarily long.
It is strange, though, that towards the end of the film he can be clearly recognized in the club, but the officer later says that his alibi is basically correct because he is not visible on the camera footage. And what about the dozens of eyewitnesses?
A solid 3.5*
