Deep beneath the forests of Burgundy slumbers Bibracte—once the most powerful Gallic city in the world, now a mystery that archaeologists are unraveling piece by piece. Bibracte was once a bustling capital of more than 10,000 inhabitants, built on a mountaintop by the Eduenes, a Celtic people who counted the Romans as allies.
