A pulp film with hopeless content that goes nowhere. Betty's Revenge follows the trend of placing an iconic cartoon character in a horror world, and with Betty Boop, the filmmakers have plenty of opportunities for social commentary. Although the attempts to seize those opportunities are certainly there, this film is brought down by a lot of nonsensical, theatrical actions that are far removed from reality. Hannah Fierman, in particular, should scratch her head wondering why this role was such a good idea, with pointless lines and actions that obscure her tragic background by behaving like a loose cannon. Visually, there are occasional colorful moments and young cast members who seem to be making genuine attempts to make something of it, but the cheap murders, the ugly set design, and the boring story spoil the fun.
