It's remarkable that director Jo-Anne Brechin managed to enlist two semi-familiar names for this production, as Killer Whale is a typical example of this kind of approach. The only notable difference is that an orca wreaks havoc here instead of a great white shark, which naturally opens the door to social criticism. Aside from a few simple explanations, not much has been done in that regard, but thankfully the exotic setting is quite enjoyable, and the orca attacks are entertaining. The absurd first fifteen minutes and relatively short running time contribute to this, but the ugly use of green screens, the completely illogical actions, and the cheap effects offer (too) much counterbalance.

I came here for that shark!

Shoutout to my neighbor from long ago at Uilenstede, who had actually attended the premiere of Jaws—and would bring back that cry at every opportunity whenever something took longer than necessary. He had screamed himself hoarse during this film, because for a movie that is supposed to be about a killer whale, there is very little fish to be seen.

And if that were the worst of it. I never thought that a movie set on a sun-drenched little island populated by two drop-dead gorgeous ladies in bikinis could be so hideously boring. And if that were the worst of it, but no – the visuals look incredibly fake too. As if it were all generated by some pathetic AI, and then directed by someone who really doesn't understand a thing about it.

And then there's that fish. Never mind, I'm really done with it.

Just awful, and they should be punished for that CGI; it's clearly made on a small budget. And actually, those actresses? and actors? should be paid to star in this film? Garbage of the worst kind...
