The Dink plot

A nice film about a man who was a successful tennis player as a teenager and now works as a tennis instructor. A fine film within the sports comedy subgenre, although it could have been a bit shorter. Everything is presented in a delightfully exaggerated way, with entertaining characters. The cast delivers a fun performance, featuring two nice cameos from Ben Stiller and John McEnroe.

A simple feel-good movie, which I'm normally not really a fan of, combined with the Formula 1 sports film. You can guess the ending before it even starts, and the film doesn't do anything special or is very funny. Still, the film entertained me very well in a certain way, and I can't really say why. I think the film entertains because it doesn't pretend to be anything else. Just a simple film without too much fuss. Maybe the film has something nostalgic about it and reminds me of the past. A simpler, easier time with fewer problems.
