Tre Ciotole plot
The couple Marta and Antonio each go their own way after a trivial quarrel. In the aftermath, Marta withdraws into herself and loses her appetite. Antonio throws himself into his work as a rising chef, but can't seem to get his ex out of his head. There comes a point when Marta discovers that the lack of appetite is not related to the breakup, but to her health. This changes everything.

After seven years, restaurant owner Antonio [Elio Germano] breaks off his relationship with teacher Marta [Alba Rohrwacher]. Because Marta struggles to talk about her feelings, even with her sister Elisa [Silva D'Amico], she uses a cardboard cutout of K-Pop star Jirko [Sungku Jung] as an emotional outlet. Antonio finds support from, among others, Silvia [Galatéa Bellugi], a student who works in his restaurant. This skillfully written drama of coming to terms with a difficult situation shows the importance of being open to human contact during an emotional crisis, the different ways people cope with it, but also how a new world can open up for you. Rohrwacher shines in this intelligent romantic drama.
