Crazy movie though, how much bad luck can a person have? Or maybe this is really possible, ultimately it is a lack of money that causes the main character to experience what she experiences. Taraji Henson plays it pretty well. That some people talk about racism and wokeness I can somewhat understand, they could have handled that differently in the movie. I actually hadn't even thought about it until I read a few reactions here. It is certainly a movie that seeks out the boundaries between humanity and inhumanity.

I didn't think Straw was a particularly good film, but it does reflect the hopeless situation of the underprivileged in America. The country where you can go from paperboy to millionaire.

I have been there several times myself and can confirm that the American dream is not attainable for many. I have rarely seen so many beggars and homeless people as in the average American city. From that perspective, this film was not even that bad. It shows once again that we do not have things that bad arranged here in the Netherlands. You can do strange things when you are pushed over the edge. This film shows that, in a way that may be exaggerated for some, enormously magnified. My tip, turn off your political preference when you go to see a film, makes many films more fun to watch.

A film that grabs you from the start and won't let go. A great story and ending. Excellent.

All those wild stories above. That's okay, but it's not my experience. Trauma is the key word in this film, which shows that every person has a breaking point where they snap..
And that's well-depicted here. Kudos to the lead actress.
Only the FBI also aroused aggression in me.
