Dre [Katy O'Brian] and their crew are gearing up for a festive evening at the LGBTQI nightclub Yum when they discover that dozens of the living dead are walking around outside. While the attendees bicker over what to do and fight off the first intruders, Dre's partner Lizzy [Rike Lindhome], along with the limping Jane [Eve Lindley], attempts to reach the relative safety of Yum. This inevitably campy horror film, full of bitchy humor, works because the tone becomes more serious as the gravity of the situation becomes apparent. Romero makes hilarious use of drag queen props, especially during the successful denouement. Tom Savini has a cameo as the mayor in this successful reinterpretation of Dawn of the Dead. That is hardly surprising: George A. Romero was Tina's father.
