The elderly Maria Angeles [Carmen Maura] still lives independently in her hometown of Tangier, located on the Strait of Gibraltar. At the insistence of her daughter Clara [Marta Etura], she moves to a retirement home so that Clara can sell the apartment. She soon regrets it and decides to secretly return to her old apartment. In doing so, she receives help from Abslam [Ahmed Boulane], the man who bought her furniture and with whom she becomes very good friends. Maura shines as a woman who discovers that, at a late age, she can give her life a new impetus without letting go of her recent past. Touazni (Adam, Blue Caftan) once again proves to be a master at telling stories about extraordinary 'ordinary' women.

A nice film about an older woman who disagrees when her daughter tries to sell her house. The film starts well with the mother-daughter relationship. The subsequent developments are not entirely believable throughout. There are, however, a number of beautiful moments and some lovely shots of Tangier and Moroccan culture. Carmen Maura carries the film well. Just shy of 3.5 stars.
