The Parenting plot
"Meeting the parents... it's a necessary evil."
Rohan and Josh, a young couple, plan a weekend away in the countryside to introduce their parents to each other. As tensions rise between the more traditional Sharon and Frank and the laid-back Liddy and Cliff, the families soon realize that their rental home is haunted by the presence of a 400-year-old poltergeist. When one of the parents becomes possessed, it’s up to the young couple and their meddling friend Sara to unite the families and stop the evil entity once and for all.

Disappointing film in which a couple invites their parents to an old house. A kind of Meet the Parents with a horror sauce. Quite annoying characters and the casting doesn't quite work either. The denouement with what's going on with the house isn't exactly original either.

The story is not original, with a couple who both invite their parents to an old house where all sorts of things are going on... And what is going on with the house was no surprise.
The setting was fine, with the big old mansion and the snow. As for the horror part, the execution was indeed comedy, not worth it. There are nice parts, but otherwise it was mainly bland and especially boring. I wanted to just fast forward every now and then.
