Dreams plot
The young Mexican ballet dancer Fernando aspires to a life and a world-famous career in the United States. Convinced that he is supported by his lover and benefactor Jennifer, Fernando leaves everything behind and narrowly escapes death. His arrival turns Jennifer's life upside down and she herself does everything she can to secure their future.

A young Mexican ballet dancer [Isaac Hernández] travels illegally to San Francisco to move in with the millionaire's daughter [Jessica Chastain] who funded his education. She not only welcomes him with open arms, but when it turns out she does not want to engage in public hand-holding, the relationship comes to a temporary end. That is the beginning of a power struggle between two opportunists (she wants sex with an attractive young man; he wants a residence permit) without any tension. Ballet and sex scenes provide the highlights (!) in this timid, pseudo-romantic nonsense.
