Mediocre action thriller. The story is decent but doesn't offer enough to fill the entire running time. The execution isn't entirely successful either. The pacing is a bit slow, and with a few exceptions, it's not very exciting. The action scenes aren't particularly spectacular and are rather monotonous. Furthermore, the visuals are quite dark and drab. The acting is otherwise okay. 2.5

It is mainly the somewhat predictable "lost in translation" that kills this film for me, I think – that happens to me quite often with Asian films, and especially those from Korea.

The beginning is quite promising, but somewhere along the way I lose track of exactly what the main characters' motivation is, and that never comes back. Some nice action, sure, but not enough to keep the film interesting in itself.

I do have a soft spot for Korean films, and this one is pretty okay. Admittedly, it's not top-notch and we've seen these kinds of storylines by now, but the action is good and "godmother" is a unique character who has to take on one of the people she victimized in the past. It fits on a beer coaster, and that's often the case with this type of action movie, but that's okay.
