Kundschafter des Friedens 2 plot

Cuba, of all places, is the setting for a new great adventure for our group of agents. During the funeral of their old mentor, the long-retired members of the former East German foreign intelligence service are once again challenged in their ideals to save the last bastion of socialism from the impending sell-out. At that moment, they encounter their greatest opponents yet.

Former East German spies Falk [Henry Hübchen] and Locke [Thomas Thieme] are in Cuba to bury their mentor. Disillusioned with what is supposed to be the last communist stronghold, they join forces with former colleagues Tamara [Katharine Thalbach] and Harry [Winfried Glatzeder] to save Cuba from ruin. A delayed and superfluous sequel relies more on moments than on a plot this time around, even though betrayal plays a significant role in it. Thalbach is a valuable addition, but that does not make this worth watching.
