For the past few years, the Heart Eyes Killer has been wreaking havoc on Valentine’s Day, stalking and murdering romantic couples. Heart Eyes is without a doubt one of the best slasher films in years. The kills are numerous, original and gory. The killer is also quite something. He is both terrifying and not infallible, which benefits the credibility. The acting is also solid and there is clearly a certain chemistry between the two protagonists. The humor is sometimes a bit on the silly side, but repeatedly very successful. The tone is light-hearted and entertaining. When you think it's over, a rabbit is pulled out of the hat, as it should be. Definitely a good horror film!

Nice comic slasher. The story is simple but that's allowed for a slasher, only the whodunnit level is not that good and not at all interesting, in retrospect. As if they had to think of a perpetrator quickly at the end. But apart from that it is quite entertaining but nice kills and a good tension arc. The humor is also quite good. The acting is otherwise okay with a good mutual chemistry. Great slasher. 3.5
