"A little sizzle could save the season."
Ashley is a former dancer from the big city. Her parents own the Rhythm Room, a struggling music venue. By combining her skills as a dancer and choreographer, Ashley tries to save their business by staging a Christmas-themed male revue. One of the men who helps her is the kind and confident Luke, who finds himself in an unfamiliar situation and is pushed to his limits by her.

Christmas movie as a Christmas movie should be. Deliciously cheesy, deliciously romantic. Fun for women to watch.

Magic Mike meets Hallmark.
The Merry Gentlemen is one of the most enjoyable Christmas movies that Netflix has to offer this year. Britt Robertson and Chad Michael Murray have chemistry and are charming in their roles. The script meets all the clichés but is told a little more fluently than most TV Christmas movies.
In addition, this Christmas film is of course extra fun for female viewers and it is also nice that the film has a modern tone and does not descend into conservative religious nonsense.
In short, modern, sexy and a good Christmas atmosphere.
A very nice film in its genre!

Just keeps going. It's not all that original and the film doesn't surprise anywhere and therefore drags a bit. Robbertson is okay, most of the antagonists are a bit colorless, which makes the film come alive in terms of romance. Fortunately not too long, but I can't really give the film a pass. 2.5*
