Cellar Door (2024)

Reasonably strong thriller. The story lends itself to a horror film, but this is certainly not one. It is a beautiful thriller drama with some mystery. The execution is quite successful. The structure is strong and as a viewer you have no idea which way it is going. The film also contains a very strong twist. Unfortunately, towards the end they go a bit too fast and the film loses some of its strength. The ending is also less successful. But otherwise a fine film with solid acting. 3.5/4.0

Cellar Door builds up nicely in terms of story, but somewhere towards the end when all the puzzle pieces fall into place I thought it became significantly less. Somewhere the story about a cellar door is more exciting in your head than the elaboration in this film. That could also be my fault. All in all not a bad film and definitely worth watching.
