Den of Thieves 2: Pantera (2025)

The first official movie of this year.

It turned out quite well.

Police/Thriller with a simple story, but fun to watch.

Ideal for an evening at the cinema.

Personally I like the first one a little better, because it was more police/action.

There's an actress in this movie and I thought: she looks a lot like Nazmiye Oral. Anyway, it turned out later that she was in this too. Funny.

Just a little better than part 1. The first hour has a bit of the same problem in which the gas is considerably reduced and especially atmosphere is created, but that is simply not very interesting. However, towards the halfway point of the film everything becomes a lot more interesting. Especially the long break-in is done well. It lasts a long time, but the setting constantly changes, which means that the scene continues to develop in terms of content and audiovisuals and therefore never gets boring. Suddenly also towards the end with that alarm constantly on in the background, which creates a certain tension.

Doesn't change the fact that the first hour was a bit of a grind and the last act is also a bit of a drag, although that is still fine entertainment. Also just a bit too many subplots, that thing with that Albanian is just filler that could have been left out. Visually, just like part 1, again fine. 3.0*.

Reasonable crime film. The story is not very original and certainly does not contain enough content to fill almost 140 minutes. Yet Gudegast still manages to put something down without boring for a moment, although in the first part it sometimes borders on boring. But the atmosphere, settings and fascinating characters still manage to hold you as a viewer. The second is better with a long very exciting beautifully shot, almost MI-worthy scene. However, do not expect too much action in this film. 3.5
