The Moon plot

Surprising.
I have been following Yuya Ishii for a long time, but I did not expect a masterpiece from him anymore. He always makes good films, but they always lack that little bit extra. Now The Moon is not a huge leap in quality, but the subject is one that is challenging and Ishii has no trouble tackling it without blinking.
Visually it is also a bit more pleasant, and the soundtrack is also quite okay, but it is mainly the acting performances and some hard scenes that will stay with me. A bit like The Wandering Moon last year. In any case, there is something to talk about after watching this film, do not expect this film to give Ishii's career a new impetus, but I was still very pleasantly surprised.
