Horizonte plot

Basilio returns home to his mother Inés after being missing for a long time. Both mother and son have died and are wandering the earth as ghosts. They decide to travel together through the war-torn country, in search of Basilio's missing father and redemption. Along the way, they gradually understand their destiny and the sacrifices they must make for it.

The soul of a disfigured man [Claudio Cataño] wanders in a shadowy world to confront his violent past. He is joined by his mother [Paulina García], who was also killed by him. The first half features a number of slow sequences, but the intriguing premise, the sophisticated direction of the actors, the impressive locations, and the brilliant cinematography by Mateo Guzmán easily hold the viewer's attention.
