Ik Zal Zien plot
When the spirited Lot becomes blind in an accident, her world comes to an abrupt halt. Her plans to travel, study, dive and live together with her boyfriend Casper seem to collapse. Lot fiercely resists her new need for help and tries to escape her painful reality by dreaming as much as possible. In her dreams she is free and sees again. Only when she accepts her new reality does she begin to regain control of her life.

Predictable melodramatic complications undermine the fine performance of Aiko Beemsterboer as 17-year-old Charlotte, who has to accept that she will hardly be able to see anything after a fireworks incident. Only after much insistence does she admit herself to an institution that should help her to live independently. Charlotte slowly realizes that the loss of her eyesight closes doors, but that doors also open. The latter is especially evident from the friendships she makes with fellow sufferers. Stalenhoef's visual style and Michel Schöpping sound design are plus points, but this could have had a few more surprises in store.
