"A legend leaves the court."

The documentary provides unprecedented access to the final 12 days of Federer's career, with the 103-time tour-level title contender talking about the reasons behind his decision to retire and what it means for him and his family. Federer's final match took place at London's O2 arena, where he teamed up with his old rival and friend Rafael Nadal for Team Europe against Team World. The mixed-team event turned out to be a celebration for Federer and a host of other stars, including Bjorn Borg, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray.

Emotional documentary about the last twelve days of Roger Federer's professional tennis career, filmed from the moment he announced to his family and friends that he was retiring. A player of his caliber deserves a much broader documentary, but nevertheless this is a beautiful and especially moving portrait of a sympathetic, driven tennis player who comes to the heartbreaking realization that his time in the sport he loves so much is over.

Beautiful and authentic behind the scenes. Most camera images were taken without realizing that this would become public.

Still an interesting fact and I think you can see that in reality, initially Federer and his family had only invited the director, someone they knew from an interview with Vogue in 2019, to video the announcement about his retirement.

Then they decided that the director will follow Federer's last days on tour with camera so that his own family will have some nice personal images of this phase.

So, according to 'sources' at least, it was not the intention to release these images. But in the end they were of course easy to share and the director continued networking back in America.

The result is very beautiful and fun, with the usual mix of emotions that we have come to expect from Federer, as well as the characteristic balance between the gentleman Roger and his genuine humanity.

I just give it five stars! From an early age he has been enchanted by the beauty of his tennis and that hypnosis shows.

I don't know what more to expect from a documentary about the last weeks of such a long career. Although I certainly hope for documentaries about specific phases in his career with his most magical points and matches.

When you see to what extent this production can show a few old tennis shots of his in high quality and compare that with the much lower quality on YouTube of Federer's classics, then I hope for more Hollywood-like rehashed material from the good old times .

Paint AI over it?
