A group of students decided to organize a picnic for their fellow students during spring break. The celebration grew over the course of the year. Set in a time before social media and smartphones, this documentary reveals stories and interviews from the people who created the Freaknik celebration. Artists whose work started at the festival or who have been strongly influenced by its cultural impact will also be discussed.
