The Comet Kids plot

It's the 1950s in America. Lucas' father, an astronomer, discovers a comet. However, before he can put his name to it, he dies. His colleague then claims the discovery. Lucas does not accept this and goes with his friends to look for the place where a piece of the comet crashed into their area.
