With Alexander Pfander, Joshua van 't Hoff, Sina Matuscheck, and Anthony Straeger behind the wheel, you would think that a good result should certainly be possible, but the more is not always the merrier. House of Rooms mainly relies on a fine concept, in which a number of German cast members speak English to help sell the film better internationally. Unfortunately, at least half of the cast fails to deliver good acting performances, and the film jumps from one thing to another. The plot twists make no sense and the rooms look rather bare, but fortunately, the reasonably absurdly exaggerated characters and the fast pace provide a dose of entertainment. It is all on the mediocre side, but as a fan, you’ll get through it in no time.
