The Trouble with Jessica plot
"They were already in trouble... then she turned up."
Sarah and Tom are in serious financial trouble. They're on the brink of losing everything, but they've managed to find a buyer for their stylish London home. When their best friends Richard and Beth come over for one last dinner, an uninvited old friend, Jessica, drops by. After a seemingly trivial argument, Jessica hangs herself in the garden. Tom goes to call the police when Sarah realizes that if the buyer finds out, the sale will fall apart, meaning permanent financial ruin. The only solution: convince Richard and Beth to take Jessica's body to her apartment and make it look like she committed suicide there. What could go wrong if they approach it smart enough?

Sarah [Shirley Henderson] and Tom [Alan Tudyk] invite college friends Beth [Olivia Williams] and Richard [Rufus Sewell] over for dinner and are surprised to find that Beth has decided to bring Jessica [Indira Varma] along on her own. Jessica's erratic behavior doesn't make things any more pleasant, but no one could have guessed that she would hang herself during an unguarded moment. In this clumsy mash-up of Alfred Hitchcock's Rope and The Trouble With Harry, Jessica's death takes some effort to keep from the outside world until her body is dumped elsewhere. A pale Hitchcock imitation.
