Bienvenidos a Los Angeles plot

Imani is a Nigerian single mother who lives and works in Los Angeles. She is in danger of being deported from the country. In a taxi she meets a complete stranger, the Mexican mother Elizabeth, who is about to pick up her son from the airport. Imani offers Elizabeth to help her reunite with her son. In doing so, Imani finds that this simple act of kindness threatens to jeopardize her own path to American citizenship.
