Silent Night, Fatal Night plot

Mallory Dearborn is a famous mystery writer. Against the wishes of her manager Michael, she decides to end her highly successful detective series so that she can focus on her personal life. However, Michael wants to see more money and captures Mallory. He manages to convince the outside world that Mallory has died. Mallory is forced to write a new story, but secretly works on her escape.
