Eher Fliegen Hier UFOs plot

The Baumanns family lives in Niersdorf, a town on the Lower Rhine that will have to make way for lignite mining in a few years. Since the death of her husband, Marita Baumanns has been running the local family bakery together with her brother-in-law Klaus, his wife Irene and their daughter Natalie. The Baumanns want to stay in Niersdorf as long as possible, but the problems that the village community is facing due to the threatened expropriation quickly reach the company and ultimately also the seemingly stable family structure of the Baumanns.
