Rob Reiner and Albert Brooks met in high school 60 years ago and are still good friends. In this documentary they look back on the career of Albert Brooks, perhaps the only (top) comedian who performed with Johnny Carson, for example, with material he had never tested before and who inspired a whole generation of comedians with his equally intelligent and absurdist approach. His legendary performance with “Buddy”, a spelling practice toy, is featured, as are his hilarious performances as a ventriloquist and pantomime player. There is also a look back at his impressive film career and he tells (again) how he became the founder of Saturday Night Live. A must for comedy lovers with contributions from Steven Spielberg, Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, Jon Stewart and David Letterman, among others.
