"The adventure of a nighttime."
Stevie and her brother Elliot magically travel to the dream world with the mission to find the Sandman. They hope that he will fulfill their ultimate wish: to save their parents' marriage. The kids are complete opposites, making them an unlikely duo to navigate the absurdity of their own subconscious. During their journey, Stevie and Elliot discover that as long as they have each other, they can overcome anything, even their worst nightmare.

Not quite the magic of old Disney, Studio Ghibli, or Pixar. Although with "In Your Dreams" (2025), they certainly tried to emulate those major studios with their own animated classic. Or, like an immensely relatable childhood problem—parents possibly getting divorced—opens the way to a colorful dream world about Sandman and Little Nemo. At times, it's also quite warm and nostalgic for an older viewer. Unfortunately, "In Your Dreams" (2025) stays a little too safely within the lines with a tame plot and a clear moral. It lacks the raw edges that turn a formulaic children's film into a true classic.
