"Sometimes it's the only thing you can trust."
Alice and Celine are two mother friends and neighbours, who both have a son of the same age. One day, however, a tragic accident occurs. The guilt, suspicion and paranoia that arise as a result of the accident gradually cause a rift between the two women.

Reasonable film in which the friendship between two mothers is put under strain after a tragedy. The first half of the film is the best. The mix between drama and thriller does not work very well here. Too much and also unbelievable developments during the second half. Fortunately there is the excellent acting of Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chaistain. A small 3.0 stars.

Nice thriller drama. The story is somewhat unrealistic and is a mix of drama and thriller, but unfortunately out of balance. The elaboration is reasonable but has too much emphasis on the thriller element, especially in the second part. The film then gets a bit out of step. They could have kept the focus on the drama better. Furthermore, a fine film that is easy to watch. Hathaway and Chastain carry the film and play excellent roles. Visually, the film is very good with a nice 50's/60's setting. 3.0/3.5

The best part of the film, for me, were the beautiful cars. The film starts off reasonably well, but quickly collapses like a pudding, even becoming a bit ridiculous.
Wasn't wild about Hathaway and Chastain's acting either.
