Another catchy but at the same time exhaustingly long documentary by director David Weiner, known for the In Search Of Darkness series. For five hours, fragments of SF films from the 80s pass by, explained by a procession of involved people, experts and fans. Too bad that so much attention is paid to the blockbusters of the decade; we know those stories by now, no matter how entertaining the fragments and interviews are. It is precisely the smaller films, such as Miracle Mile and Flight Of The Navigator, that stand out positively within the bigger picture.
