Ever Wong is an American teenager whose parents surprise her with a trip to Taipei to attend a summer cultural immersion program. The program surprises Ever, as she learns that it is not intended for lessons or homework. Instead, Ever is part of a summer where she gets to do whatever she wants. She also meets two different handsome guys who are both crazy about her. As the summer drags on, Ever embarks on a romantic journey of self-discovery as she pursues her love of dancing while resisting her parents' high expectations.
