The Cat and the Mermouse plot
During a day at the beach, Tom wants to lie in the sand, but his peace is disturbed by Jerry, who walks by to go fishing. Tom chases Jerry and falls off the pier. In the water, Tom encounters a mermaid who looks like Jerry.

One of the nicer animated films from Tom & Jerry. A bit outside the known setting, but it works. We get the usual chases and gags, but underwater. The pace is good and the ending is nicely done.
