"Every time a bell rings an angel gets to KILL!"
It's been a year since Winnie Carruthers saved her town of Angel Falls from a psychotic killer on Christmas Eve. Her life has not gotten any better. When Winnie wishes she had never been born, she ends up in a parallel nightmare and discovers that Angel Falls could be a lot worse without her. With the killer back, Winnie must team up with the town's maverick to identify the culprit and return to her own reality.

Given the titular similarities, it is clear from which film this film draws its basic principles. The way in which these basic principles are used is of a completely different order. It's a Wonderful Knife is a film that plays lightly with the 'what-if' theme found in It's a Wonderful Life (1946) ( the Christmas film par excellence) is used in a wonderfully sentimental way. It's a Wonderful Knife is also a slasher and the same cannot be said about It's a Wonderful Life.
So a slasher. But not a serious slasher. The murders are surrounded with a large dose of humor here. Mystery and suspense are hard to find in this film. The identity of the perpetrator is revealed early in the film. The murder scenes are fairly clean and do not scare the viewer much. The fact that the film therefore lacks mystery and tension does not mean that the film is not entertaining. The characters are entertaining caricatures, the setting generates an eerie atmosphere and the story arouses some curiosity here and there. It's not very good. Not very annoying either.
