Former Special Forces soldier Mason Pettits is bored to death with his job at a mediocre law firm and his day-to-day life as a family man. When his old military buddy, now the boss of a shady private security company, offers him a job as a bodyguard for award-winning journalist Claire Wellington, he doesn't hesitate for a second and accepts the assignment. Mason must protect Claire on her journey to a South American country, where she will be the first journalist ever to meet notorious dictator Juan Arturo Venegas for an interview. The conversation is unexpectedly interrupted by a military coup and Claire and her bodyguard have to flee into the jungle with the crazed dictator to survive.
