I already knew Mike Degruy through his collaborations with big names such as David Attenborough and James Cameron, who also speak here, but it is nice that Degruy himself is finally in the center of attention. It is a pity that his unexpected death in 2012 had to be the reason for this. This portrait of the enthusiastic filmmaker and scientist, made by his widow, is skilfully but somewhat predictably put together, with a wealth of archive material and thorough interviews with family members and colleagues. Fortunately, the less sympathetic side of his personality, in particular his stubborn and stubborn character, is also somewhat highlighted.
