I'm not really a boxing fan, and I actually only knew Foreman's name from the legendary fight against Muhammad Ali - the 'rumble in the jungle'. But there appears to be quite a story to tell about him - so much in fact that quite a bit has apparently been simplified. That often bothers me, but not in this film, perhaps because it seems to be done with respect.

Davis is decent as Foreman, but Jones is rather inadequate as Ali - perhaps just too difficult to find an actor who somewhat resembles Ali and can also do a little boxing. Still, that feels like a missed opportunity. Whitaker is perhaps the only known actor, but he doesn't show much - he may also have too small a role to really make an impression. Doesn't matter - Foreman is the hero of this movie.
