Mediocre cartoon. The story is well known and therefore not surprising for the loyal viewer (and faithfully watching parents). The most disturbing thing about the film are the songs that pass by every once in a while. That makes it very sweet for a 'superhero movie'. In addition to the action, they also try to add a good portion of drama and romance. Fine in itself, but the makers are exaggerating quite a bit. All this brings a somewhat strange mix that differs somewhat from the series and leads to a disappointed 'almost teenager' and watching father. 2.5.

Akumas are dark butterflies that turn angry people into monsters. Gabriel [Keith Silverstein] is incensed over his wife's death and threatens to destroy the world. Friendly djinn Tikki [Shelby Young] approaches two teens to save the world. The clumsy Marinette [Cristina Valenzuela] and (in a twist of fate) Gabriel's son Adrien [Bryce Papenbrook]. They still have some obstacles to overcome before they can effectively fight evil as their alter egos Ladybug and Cat Noir. After the first song you know what kind of meat you have in the tub, and that is certainly not a revolutionary recipe. Believe in yourself, help another and love conquers all. So that bullshit. If you're not tired of that, live it up. If you are as cynical as I am, then for goodness sake ignore this.
