Difficult. On the one hand, quite natural and recognizable at times, on the other hand, 80 minutes of film too often emphatically seek conflict. That is disturbing, but also makes the film a bit artificial instead of realistic. For example, that Lakemeier too often waits to tell the real news. Not entirely unrealistic, but in the film this does not work well. Only when he has told does the film also become better as an atmospheric portrait, even if it still contains unnecessary parts. Furthermore, a nice picture of the Amsterdam of people in their twenties. Remarkably bad sound by the way, in some scenes the people were hardly able to understand what they were saying exactly. 3.0*

A film without pretensions and without a message, I hope.
Also tasty again.
Or it must want to show us how rare complicated relationships have become in 2023. Even sex suffers. The marital quarrels, fun and convincing in the beginning, eventually become boring and predictable.
And those colors. Everything is allowed, everything is possible. It looks like the BBC. But beautiful pink does not exist, sorry.
And the happiness that splashes off generations XY and Z, makes you jealous. Anyone who can't put a big smile on his face is out.
stay single. Mmm. But that's a bit boring, isn't it?

Paul Schipper [Martijn Lakemeier] is Playlist Curator for Apollo Benelux. Although his interview has yet to take place, he and his girlfriend Tessa [Claire Bender] have already made plans to move to London. When it turns out that there is still a serious candidate for that promotion, the trouble starts. For the viewer, the misery has already started and it will only get worse. Paul and Tessa are insufferable, egocentric types that make you wonder what they ever saw in each other. The downward spiral continues when Rima [Shaelyn Newmarch] proves to be even more egocentric and annoying. The title also refers to the autobiographical book by Paul's ex-boyfriend Aram [Flip Zuijderland], which also has something to do with Wander Theunis' deplorable screenplay. Apparently he also wants to say something about the differences between digital music and traditional sound carriers. Whatever.
