Mumbai Mafia: Police vs the Underworld plot
The underworld dominated the streets of Mumbai in the 1990s. Shootings and murders were the order of the day. The common people lived in fear, taking care not to cross paths with the notorious criminals. The increase in crime overwhelmed the police: the criminals were not afraid of them and there was an undeniable sense of helplessness and panic among the police. This documentary shows how the police curbed the excessive growth of gangs. The role of their way of acting is questioned. At one time they were applauded by the media for their approach, but they soon came under fire.
