some of us may be vinegary ****** by nature and may not have any sense of how to judge movies.

Why?

this movie, High Heat, is an extremely entertaining action/comedy with some very thoughtful (comic) dialogues.

Example? A murder squad is hired by a 'bad guy' and the boss of the murder squad enters into 'discussion' with the client during the 'intake' like a trade union leader about the terms of employment, in this case. overtime and lunchtime conditions for the members of the assassination squad. That's just funny to see when hiring a hit squad.

C movie? No definitely not.

B movie? No, certainly not.

High-quality A-movie? No, not either, but one that looks wonderfully away, so simply put: just a normal A-movie that looks away.

If you compare it with, for example, the average Rocky films, then the Rocky films are even more B-movies than this one.

That's why the sincere advice: don't let some super negative reactions lead you to the decision not to watch. Have a look and judge for yourself!!!
