Mediocre film about a couple of swindlers who are after a rich man. A cleverly constructed crook film with enough plot twists, but because of this structure you miss the necessary bond with the characters (and despite the excellent acting, they lack credibility). It all looks good, but 3.0 stars would be just too much.

Friendly crime film with an inventive script about crooks who outdo each other. The film doesn't take itself too seriously, so you shouldn't do that as a viewer. Not a topper, but quite entertaining thanks to the clever story.

Tom [Justice Smith] owns a bookshop and has given up hope of finding the one. Then Sandra [Briana Middleton] appears in his life. She seems like a perfect match, until Tom discovers that Sandra's brother is in mortal danger because he owes $350,000 to shady people. We see what happens next from the perspective of those directly involved, but also from Madelin [Julianna Moore], who turns out to be an important pivot in the story. Starts interesting and puts you on the wrong foot several times. In this case that is not a recommendation and at the last plot twist you have had it with the plot. Smart can also be annoying, as it turns out.
