"Follow the lies. Find the truth."
The presidential election in the United States is drawing to a close. Citizens have the choice to vote for the first woman or for the first independent candidate. During this period, an idealistic journalist stumbles upon a conspiracy. She teams up with her idol, the reporter Nick Booker, putting the fate of the entire nation in their hands.

Given the media circus that invariably surrounds American elections, I've been a fan of these kinds of political / journalistic thrillers since All the President's Men (1976) . Not the very best film in this genre, but thanks to the performance of good old Brian Cox and Jodie Turner-Smith more than captivating enough to hold the attention. I had a great time.

A political thriller with a fairly simple story about a journalist who discovers shadowy matters surrounding the presidential elections. Sounds more exciting than it actually is but personally I didn't find it too exciting. In principle, the cast plays well, but the leading lady (Jodie Turner-Smith) has the charms and appearance of an ice rabbit. All in all, not bad, but it certainly won't stick around. I'm hesitating between 2.5 and 3 stars... Well, 3 stars for Brian Cox.

Not a great film, but still a passable one for this film. I don't really like the thriller genre, but it is fascinating with a well-constructed plot. They could have left out a few unlikely elements such as Eli who spends 3 hours in the ladies' toilet and then uses a memory stick to empty an already logged-in PC. The cast was OK, except Cena for president; that choice makes no sense.
