Rosa Rosae. La Guerra Civil plot

The Spanish Civil War profoundly shaped the childhood of director Carlos Saura, whose film career survived the brutal dictatorship of Francisco Franco. In this short documentary, Saura creates and recovers over thirty images, drawings and photographs that he prints and manipulates and then films to create a story that recreates the Spanish Civil War. The horrors of a universal war are depicted through the eyes of a child and its environment.
