Hunting the Essex Lorry Killers plot

On October 23, 2019, driver Maurice Robinson calls emergency services from an industrial estate in Essex saying that he has found dozens of lifeless bodies in his truck. It turns out that 39 Vietnamese men, women and children died of asphyxiation. In this documentary, detectives tell how the evidence eventually leads them to a seemingly innocent transport company in Northern Ireland. Interviews with relatives in Vietnam paint a poignant picture of the victims. They hoped for a better life, but fell into the hands of ruthless people smugglers.
