It is always a pleasant surprise when I discover that not all FF gems have been consumed yet. This one from 2012 had completely escaped my intensive searches. Almost completely agree with ibendb below. Josh Criss has to carry the entire film and succeeds wonderfully. There is quite a bit of momentum in the developments and the scenario arouses a lot of curiosity about the final denouement. However, the film falls seriously short on the latter. The viewer really remains hungry. Too bad, because there could certainly have been more resident here.

This film is truly as minimalist as it gets. Clearly on a microbudget, but despite that, I didn't find it a tedious watch. The concept is simple, and a variation on commonly used plots – a man moves to a house in the middle of nowhere and sees and hears mysterious things. It never gets explicit, and we mainly see the man's puzzle-solving as he tries to capture more and more, but also runs into more and more question marks and mysteries. Unfortunately, it also has a somewhat weak ending, which feels a bit unfinished. Fortunately, it isn't too long, because as I said – very little really happens. Two actors on screen, one of whom is only present for about five minutes (and says almost nothing), one who mainly reviews himself and his footage, and the escalation is slow and implied. As I said, seen, certainly not bad considering these limitations, but these limitations still result in a somewhat flawed viewing experience.
