Break of Day plot

""Any man who breaks the rules, does so at his own risks"..."

Tom returns to the sleepy Australian town of Tetlow in 1920, after World War I. He is distracted from the rabbit hunt and his memories of the war when he meets the artsy Alice. He begins to neglect his pregnant wife. Over time, however, Tom realizes that he and Alice are from two different worlds.
