Nina Conti Clowning Around plot

Award-winning ventriloquist Nina Conti and her beloved pop Monkey are a huge hit at comedy clubs around the world and stars of 'Live at the Apollo'. But now Nina wants to use her skills in a much more meaningful way on a much more difficult stage: entertaining children in hospitals. This documentary follows Nina during her training as a giggle doctor at a charitable organization. Since Monkey is only allowed to perform in hospitals when he gets a hot bath, Nina tries to complete her mission alone with a red nose, a few misshapen balloon animals and a few slightly disappointing magic tricks.
