L'Innocent plot

It's great how Louis Garrel mixes crime, romance and humor almost seamlessly. The result is a sympathetic film about sympathetic people who are not afraid to step outside their comfort zone. The acting of the four protagonists, led by the always reliable Roschdy Zem, is first class.

Such a typical French comedy. Not really crazy, but with enough elements to see the 'witness' in it. Your mother suddenly comes home with a criminal. A nice (marriage) scene there in the prison where a parody was almost always present. The parody unfortunately disappeared afterwards and it became a bit more serious.
But it sure is entertaining. A film that masters the combination of crime and lightheartedness well. And with a touch of romance. Nice brash acting too. You can see they enjoy it. A trifle? Well yes, a nice one. Not high quality, but just pleasant entertainment.
